Aramark Nexus is hiring Cooks to join our culinary team at the Caprock Workforce Community near Pampa, Texas .

 

This is a full-time culinary opportunity paying $20.00 per hour , with free room and board available on-site .

 

As a Cook at Caprock, you will prepare and cook meals in a high-volume food service environment serving a large residential workforce community. We are looking for dependable culinarians who take pride in food quality, work well as part of a team, and can maintain strong food safety and sanitation standards.

 

We welcome candidates with experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Restaurant Cook, Grill Cook, Production Cook, or other food service and culinary positions .

IMPORTANT LOCATION INFORMATION: This position is being advertised to culinary professionals in the Amarillo area, but the job is located at the Caprock Workforce Community, approximately 30 minutes outside of Pampa, Texas. Free on-site housing and meals are available for employees who choose to stay at Caprock.

Aramark Nexus develops and operates full-service workforce communities supporting major infrastructure and construction projects in locations where traditional housing and hospitality infrastructure may not exist.

 

At Caprock , our team operates a large workforce community in the Texas Panhandle, approximately 30 minutes outside of Pampa. Nexus provides the services that make Caprock a complete community, including dining, housing, housekeeping, transportation, recreation, guest services, facilities, retail, and more.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, menus, and production standards.
  • Follow proper cooking techniques, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Support high-volume meal preparation and service.
  • Prepare ingredients and complete food prep as needed.
  • Operate grills, ovens, fryers, stovetops, and other commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, temperature control, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Properly store, label, rotate, and handle food products.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory as needed.
  • Work as part of the culinary team to ensure meals are prepared accurately and on time.
  • Follow workplace safety requirements and Aramark standards.
  • Perform other culinary duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Previous cooking or professional food service experience preferred.
  • Experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Grill Cook, Production Cook, or Restaurant Cook is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare food in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a culinary team.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Must be willing and able to work on-site at the Caprock Workforce Community near Pampa, Texas.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
